Meet Johnny and Jessie

Grief doesn't come with instructions. Something new is coming.

Grief Marks is building something different

Grief Leaves A Mark

Grief Marks exists to help people live with grief — and to help the
people around them understand how to show up.

Grief reaches far beyond death. It follows the loss of people, health,
relationships, abilities, identities, dreams and futures we expected
to have. All of us at some point are left trying to navigate those
losses — while the people who care about us often don’t know what to
say or do.

The Grief We Carry — A Community Survey Before We Begin

Everyone grieves.

But no two people grieve in exactly the same way.

Some losses happen suddenly. Others unfold over months or years. Some
are recognized and surrounded by support. Others are carried quietly
and may not even be understood by the people around us.

Grief Marks was created from a simple belief:

Grief is not something to fix. It is something we learn to carry.

And we believe some of the people who understand grief best are the
people who have actually lived it—and the people who have tried to
love someone through it.

That's why we're asking you.

This survey isn't a test, and there are no right answers. We aren't
looking for a particular view of grief, faith, healing, counseling,
loss, or hope.

We want to understand your experience as it actually is.

Your answers will help us better understand what people need, what
people misunderstand about grief, what actually helps, what sometimes
hurts, and what conversations still need to happen.

Answer only what you are comfortable answering.

Thank you for trusting us with part of your story.
